Gambit arrives in style, on a Ghost Train, and together they mop up the opposition. Victoria is unable to foresee the length of sentence though. Gambit plays an Angel of Mercy to rescue Steed and Purdey from their close captivity. Purdey tracks down the missile site, but it is a shot from Gambit that stops Larry dead. Steed hopes he will get a new Range Rover after sacrificing his car on the missile warheads. Purdey's knowledge of football saves the day. A Russian agent dies carrying a Mark VI control-board and his destination appears to be a lake. Beneath the surface, Purdey finds an aquatic community of enemy agents. Steed tries to bluff the Russians to the surface by threateningto depth-charge them, but Purdey has already taken automatic control.
